FFWS SEA 2026 Spring Grand Finals Locked – Champion Rush Format Gets Major Change

The stage is finally set for the FFWS SEA 2026 Spring Grand Finals, and this time the tournament is bringing a huge format change that has already caught the attention of Free Fire esports fans worldwide.

Garena has officially confirmed the 12 teams competing in the Grand Finals, while also announcing an important update to the popular Champion Rush format.

Champion Rush Threshold Increased to 90 Points

One of the biggest highlights is the updated Champion Rush rule. Earlier, teams needed to reach 80 points to activate Champion Rush eligibility, but now the requirement has been increased to 90 points.

Once a team reaches 90 points, they must secure a Booyah in the following matches to officially become champions.

According to the announcement, this change is meant to make the competition more intense and test teams on consistency, endurance, and clutch performances under pressure.

The new format could lead to longer finals and more dramatic comeback moments, something fans usually love in Free Fire esports.

12 Teams Qualified for the Grand Finals

The official Grand Finals lineup includes some of the strongest Southeast Asian teams:

These teams represent multiple SEA regions, making this one of the most competitive FFWS SEA tournaments so far.

Point Rush and Champion Rush Schedule

Garena also confirmed the official schedule for the finals weekend:

  • Point Rush: May 30 at 2:00 PM GMT+7
  • Champion Rush: May 31 at 2:00 PM GMT+7

The Point Rush stage will help teams gain additional starting advantages before the main Champion Rush finals begin.

Fans Expect One of the Most Competitive Finals Yet

The new 90-point rule has already sparked mixed reactions across the community. Some fans believe it will create fairer competition by rewarding consistency, while others think it could make the finals much longer and more exhausting for players.
